The adventure begins with two full days in Launceston. Situated on the edge of the Tamar River, Launceston is ideally situated right next to Tasmania’s prettiest wine regions. Once you’re done discovering Launceston, drive north through the Tamar Valley wine region and beyond until you hit the Bass Strait. Spend the night in Bridport before changing direction and navigating down the east coast of Tasmania towards St Helens and Freycinet National Park.

The second half of this campervan holiday covers southern Tasmania, from Port Arthur, where you can explore World Heritage listed convict ruins, to Hobart, the state’s bustling capital city. The final leg of the journey includes travels up the east of the state, past Strahan and Cradle Mountain.
